Garment steamer - does it work well on cotton, cotton/spandex blends? - jiffy garment steamer

I am thinking of buying a garment steamer (the Jiffy J-) 2000 to be exact. I am sick and ironing my style is that most of my clothes as needed.

The majority of the clothes they wanted to use the steamer skirts and dresses are made of cotton or cotton spandex. Is that steam in these tissues? They also have clothes, polyester, viscose and I would like steam ... Is it good to work on it? Are there any substances, the steam is not so good?

And I do not expect perfect results, live steam, as I want to go on board. :)
